oil pressure sensor wire broke/harness
Engine oil is an essential oil for normal operation of automobiles, trucks and other motor vehicles. It is mainly used for engines. It has the functions of lubrication, cooling, rust prevention and corrosion prevention. It is the "blood" of motor vehicles. When we start the motor vehicle, the vehicle will conduct self inspection. If there is a fault, the instrument panel will light up the corresponding indicator. Is it related to the sensor when the oil pressure light is off?
This is possible. We can ground the oil pressure sensor harness to see if the oil pressure lamp is on. If it lights up, the sensor itself is damaged. If it does not light up, please check the line from the plug to the instrument. In addition, it may also be due to the following reasons: insufficient oil volume, high engine temperature, damaged parts of the oil pump, excessive clearance, improper fit clearance between the crankshaft and large and small pads, blocked oil filter and oil suction plate, damaged or malfunctioning oil return valve, improper selection of oil, oil leakage and blockage of oil pipeline.
1. If the oil pressure sensor fails at the normal value, the previous output is the normal oil pressure value, so the instrument does not light the fault lamp, or if it fails, the output voltage value is within a reasonable range, so the instrument lamp does not light.
2. If the oil pressure sensor is monitored in real time, it is possible that the oil pressure sensor is not damaged.
3. If the oil pressure sensor fails for a short time, the diagnostic instrument will display a fault code prompt. The instrument lamp does not light up because it is a historical fault.
4. The oil pressure sensor is broken, but only the detected oil pressure has deviation, and the deviation value is within the normal range.
The oil pressure is normally kept at 0.2~0.5mpa. The engine oil consumption is excessive, and the ratio of engine oil consumption to gasoline is normally 0.5%~1%. If it is greater than 1%, it is abnormal. In addition to oil leakage, the reason for excessive oil consumption is more oil burning. The oil pressure gauge is commonly known as the oil gauge, which refers to the lubricating oil pressure in the main oil passage of the lubricating system when the engine is running.
