oil pressure sensor high voltag

1. oil pressure sensor high voltage:It might be broken.

When the oil pressure is too high, first use an oil dipstick to dip the oil out of the crankcase, touch it with your hand, and check whether the oil dryness is too large. If there is no abnormality, then check the pressure limiting valve or pressure limiting valve in the oil pump cover. Whether the spring force is too strong. Clean and adjust the pressure limiting valve according to the specifications.

Fault phenomenon: When the car is cold started, the oil gauge indicates above 0.5MPa; when the ignition switch is turned on, the oil gauge indicates that it will increase to above 0.5MPa after starting.

2. Reasons for failure:
1) The oil filter is blocked and the bypass valve is difficult to open.
2) The crankcase ventilation valve (PCV valve) is blocked.
3) The main oil passage of the cylinder block is blocked.
4) The interval between the newly assembled engine crankshaft bearing or connecting rod bearing is too small.
5) The oil viscosity is too high.
6) Improper adjustment of the pressure limiting valve.
7) The oil pressure gauge or sensor fails.

3. Fault diagnosis and elimination:

1) Pull out the oil dipstick to check the viscosity of the lubricating oil. If the viscosity is too large, it should be replaced.
2) Remove the crankcase ventilation pipe and check the PCV valve. If it is blocked, it is caused by poor ventilation of the crankcase, and the PCV valve should be replaced.
3) Install an oil pressure gauge at the position of the oil sensor, start the engine, run at idle speed, and observe the reading of the oil pressure gauge.
4) If the oil pressure reaches the standard value, it means that the oil pressure sensor or oil pressure gauge is faulty and should be replaced.
5) If the oil pressure is higher than the specified value, remove the bypass valve, take out the bypass valve spring, and start the engine to run at idle speed. If the oil pressure is normal at this time, it means that the oil filter is blocked and the bypass valve is difficult to open. The oil pressure is too high; if the fault remains the same, adjust the pressure limiting valve adjusting bolt. At this time, the oil pressure drops, indicating that the pressure limiting valve is not adjusted properly.

Install a pressure gauge on the main oil passage of the cylinder head to detect the oil pressure. If the oil pressure is too low, it means that there is a blockage between the main oil passage and the cylinder head and should be repaired.

For an engine that has just been overhauled or newly assembled, turn the crankshaft to feel its rotational flexibility. If it feels heavy when turning, it may be that the oil pressure is too high due to the crankshaft assembly being too tight.
