yamaha motorcycle fuel level gauge

Yamaha motorcycle fuel level gauge:The car fuel level gauge is very functional and advanced. It can display the fuel value in the car's fuel tank in real time, and accurately tell the owner how much fuel the car consumes and how much storage is left in the fuel tank.

1. Structure and working principle of electromagnetic fuel gauge and sensor The current in the left and right coils changes.

Under the action of the combined magnetic field of the two coils, the rotor with the pointer is deflected to indicate the height of the fuel level. The electromagnetic oil gauge is composed of left and right coils (with iron cores), rotors and pointers, dials, etc. The sensor consists of resistors, sliders, and floats. The float floats on the oil surface and changes the position of the slider on the resistor with the level of the oil surface. After the circuit is connected, the current loop is: battery positive, left coil, right coil, ground, battery negative and battery positive, Left coil, resistor, slider, ground, battery negative.

2. Working process When there is no oil in the fuel tank, the float drops to the lowest position, the resistor on the sensor is short-circuited, and the right coil of the fuel gauge is also short-circuited. Under the action of the power supply voltage, the current of the left coil is the largest, and the magnetic force generated by the iron core is the strongest, so that the iron rotor drives the pointer to shift to the left, and the pointer points to the "O" or "E" position on the dial.

When the amount of fuel in the fuel tank increases, the float rises, the resistor part in the sensor is connected, the current in the right coil also increases, and the magnetic force of the right iron core increases. However, due to the series resistance in the left coil, the current in the coil decreases accordingly, the magnetic force of the iron core of the left coil is weakened, and the iron rotor is deflected to the right, so that the pointer points out the fuel level in the fuel tank.

When the fuel tank is full, the float rises to the highest position and all the resistors in the sensor are connected. At this time, the current in the left coil is the smallest, and the current in the right coil is the largest, and the angle of the rotor deflection to the right is also the largest, and the pointer points to the "F" or "1" position on the dial.
