electronic water temp gauge with 1/8" npt

We have different types of sensors of electronic water temp gauge, include M14, M16 , 1/8" npt and so on. The 1/8 "water temperature gauge is used to indicate the temperature of the cooling water inside the engine. The 1/8" water temperature gauge has the function of detecting whether the engine cooling system works normally. The electronic water temp gauge has C and H to indicate the temperature. C represents 60 degrees. As long as the pointer of the thermometer reaches C, it indicates that the water temperature has reached 60 degrees. The red grid represents a temperature of 110 degrees, which is very high here. It is better to keep the pointer in the middle position. When the pointer points to the red area, it indicates that the water temperature is too high. If the water temperature is too high for a long time, it will cause "boiling", which is very bad for the engine. It can cause a series of problems.

How does the 1/8 " electronic water temp gauge meter work? When the Negative temperature coefficient is installed in the inductance, its resistance value will decrease with the increase of temperature. Turn on the power switch, and the current is divided into two paths: battery positive power switch resistance R coil L2 (one path flows through thermistor 1; the other path flows through coil L1). The negative electrode of the grounded battery forms a circuit. If the water temperature is low, the resistance of the thermistor in the sensor is relatively high, and the current flowing through coils L1 and L2 is similar. However, due to the large number of turns in L1, the generated magnetic field is strong, and the armature 3 with the pointer will deflect to the left, causing the pointer to point towards the low-temperature scale. As the water temperature increases, the resistance value of the thermistor decreases , the shunt effect increases, the current flowing through L1 decreases, the magnetic field force weakens, the armature deflects to the right, and the pointer points towards the high-temperature scale.

Check 1/8 When checking the electromagnetic temperature sensor and water temperature indicator, remove the wiring from the sensor and measure the resistance between the sensor input and ground . If the resistance of the thermistor at room temperature is around 100, it indicates that the sensor is good.
